Some of the more playful initiatives we’ve seen spring from the minds the Nike design team this year are the “Peace, Love and…” collections. So far, it’s touched on a full range of 18-hole ready footwear sneakers under the golf division, and now it’s energy is being transferred over to the hoops category to dress up one of the Swoosh’s classic silhouettes — the Nike Blazer Mid. Like the recently seen hippie-covered KD 13, this next take keeps the San Francisco personality consistent, but instead pulls inspiration from the Bay Area’s beloved basketball franchise in the Golden State Warriors.
Its the accents here that mostly point to the Steph Curry-led ball club as bright yellow hues are employed to the Swooshes and royal blue accents latch onto the forefoot/toe tip suede overlays. Branding that rest atop the tongues and heels carry a mixture of both hues, the former of which features a remixed Nike tongue logo that dots the “i” with an actual basketball graphic. Other signifiant details to call out include that of the black leathers that feature a barely-visible brown tie-dye pattern, as well as the insoles which are decorated with the shoe’s “Peace, Love, and Basketball” moniker, as well as skeleton fingers throwing up the peace sign. A gallery of images is available here below, so check out a closer look while you wait for their Nike.com arrival likely in the coming weeks.
For other news, the Packer New Balance 992 is launching on 9/12.
